Just some random pictures from the day

See, Gammy, I still love my Dolly.

I'll always love her because you gave her to me. :)
And I'll always love my Bubba, too! He is my best pal!

Me and Rae

Raegan and I have a playdate almost every week, but rarely do we take pictures. Why? Because we both refuse to smile...

And I refuse to sit still (poor Rae)...

But, Mommy says it's important to document how much we've changed since our first visit 5 months ago. Rae gets more and more fun every time I see her!

Brushing my teeth

Signing Night Night

Here I am signing Night Night (aka Bed/Sleep/Sleepy) before my afternoon nap today. Mommy usually tries to keep me on a pretty exact sleep schedule but every once in a while, I sign to her that I want to go to bed, and even if it's a little before my nap time, she listens. It makes me so happy! Such good has come from teaching me sign language!

Oh, and please excuse the shaky video. Mommy was holding me, walking up the stairs and trying to film at the same time. :)

My window stickies

Grandma F. and I have started a fun tradition of putting window stickies up for different holidays/seasons. It all started with the snow lady. We put her up on our back sliding door a few weeks before Christmas. Oh, how I looooved my snow lady (I called her "so-so"). I said hello to her every morning and goodnight every evening. I made sure to talk to her at every meal and if the drapes were closed, I would let whomever was with me at the time know that I wanted them opened so I could see my snow lady. And here she is, my so-so...
Now that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, we thought it was time to change out my stickies. So, we said Goodbye to Snow Lady and hello to the Valentine-themed stickies!
"Grandma, I think the green love bird should go right there."
"Here, let me help you with that."
Putting on the finishing touch.
Wait till you see what we have to put up next!

Clothes are overrated

It's been a long time since we've posted diaper-only pictures. Plus, who doesn't love a naked baby? We thought these were good ones to post because apparently I like to be naked while talking on the phone. Remember this? And where did that belly go? Seriously! I guess it was only a matter of time that I would start to thin out, but Mommy is not happy that I'm losing the chub that she and Daddy worked SOOO hard to put on me. My 12 month pants are starting to fall off my waist and I only weigh a few more ounces than I did at my 12 month appointment! They even call me skinny minnie now. Who would have thought?!?

Mommy is chasing me in this picture!

Laughing at my Daddy

Now how cute is my raspy laugh? Daddy was trying to make me jump and I thought it was sooo funny!

Brrrr!

Oh how funny I am! Everytime I look outside, someone refers to the outside, or even if I just feel cold, I say "brrrr". Today I even said "brrrr" (over and over again) when Mommy and I were sitting at the table watching Bubba play outside in the snow!

Guess what this post is about

Raise your hand if you think Mommy is borderline obsessed with my walking.

More walking

Mommy just can't get enough of me walking! It truly amazes her.

Speed walker

Look at how good I am getting at walking. You really can't ever catch me crawling anymore!

Me and my Bumblebee baby

I love my babies so much! I hold them so close and give them lots of TLC. I'm going to be such a good Mommy someday.

Why does Mommy think these silly things are so funny?

First time playing in the snow

Well, it finally snowed here (more than a dusting) last week! Mommy and Daddy couldn't wait to bundle me up and show me the fluffy white stuff. It sure was cold!!! I'm not gonna lie...it wasn't my favorite experience. We went, we saw, we conquered. Now we are completely fine with spring coming!

Daddy took us for a Toboggan ride in the backyard.

Then my Gammy and Poppy hopped on. The toboggan is huge!

Heading inside. Our family with the Toboggan. Closeup of the fam.

Just cause...

I could look at this face 24 hours a day for the rest of my life!

The Little Gym

Last Monday was MLK, Jr. day so both my Gammy and Poppy had the day off. So, they came and spent the weekend with me!!! YAY!! It just so happens that Mondays are gym day, so they had the chance to see me in my class! Here is some of what they saw...

Swinging on the bars. I did a flip on them, too!
Rolling down the wedge with Mommy.
Clapping to the music.

My new playset

I like to climb, so Mommy and Daddy thought I needed something (safe) to climb on. So, here it is. Let me show you what I can do.
This was just a few minutes after Daddy put the playset together.

A day later.

And another day.

Playing Peek-a-boo with Mommy.

My first pair of walking shoes

Today I went to pick out my first pair of good, sturdy, walking shoes...now that I am walking EVERYWHERE! So, I loaded Mommy, Daddy, Gammy and Poppy into the car and we all headed to Stride Rite.

When I got there, I picked out a pair of shoes that I thought were really pretty!

How about these, Mommy? These are cute, too!
Mommy vetoed both pairs I picked out saying, "those aren't the kind of shoes we are buying today". So, I gave up and went to play with the toys they had at the store.

Mommy, this is the same activity table my friend, Ariana, has! Finally, it was my turn to be fitted for shoes. The nice sales lady measured my foot.

I have a little foot. Size 3 1/2 (wide - just like my Grandma F. said!).
We picked out 2 pairs to try on. The first pair I tried on was the one I picked out all by myself. It was pink and white with velcro. So pretty! I walked around pretty well in them.

The second pair I tried on was white with flowers and scalloping. They went a little higher on my ankle and tied up. I walked really well in these, too!

Tying the shoes.

Daddy, do you like them? They're pretty snazzy, if you ask me.
I'll take them!

Posing with Gammy and Poppy, just tickled with joy about my new purchase. Mommy said I will probably always smile like this after buying shoes. She does! Showing everyone at the mall my new shoes!

Finding a new friend in shoe store

Notice how I touch the man's leg to get my balance. I didn't know him. I hope he didn't mind!

Walking in my shoes (and checking them out along the way)!

Poppy reading me a bedtime story

One of the best things about having my Gammy and Poppy visit is Poppy reading to me!

Crab cakes

Guess what I had for dinner?
Crab cakes (and peas and green beans). I pretty much eat (or at least try) everything that Mommy and Daddy put in front of me. There isn't too much I don't like and tonights dinner was no different. I loved the crab cakes that Mommy made! Don't worry, I finished what was on the plate below plus some!

Eating an apple

After begging for Daddy's apple while he was eating it, I got my own! Mommy and Daddy discovered that gnawing on an apple like a little chipmunk kept me busy and happy for a pretty long time!

Mommy likes this picture for some reason. Maybe it's my sweet ready-for-a-nap eyes. Or is it my ruby red lips?
Getting ready to take a bite. Going to town.
What? Never seen a baby eat a whole apple?
