Mommy's Birthday Weekend

First of all, Happy Belated Birthday to my Mommy! She turned one year older on April 24th! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!!!
To celebrate this big birthday, two of Mommy's most wonderful friends came from Chicago to visit. It was so great to have Emily and Jennie in town.
On Friday, which was Mommy's actual birthday, we went to pick them up from the airport and us girls went for lunch and shopping. The weather was just perfect...80's and sunny. Mommy thought this was a wonderful birthday present from Mother Nature!

That evening, after Daddy was done with work, we all went to dinner at one of Mommy's favorite places...Benihana. I had never been to an Hibachi-style Japanese Steakhouse before so I was especially excited to find out why Mommy liked it so much. Our chef was very entertaining and our food was delicious!

I learned how to use chopsticks. Well, you know, sorta.

And of course, I had fun acting goofy with Mommy.

The next day, Daddy did some yardwork and Mommy and the girls went shopping again. I know, shocker!
Meanwhile, I was hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa at the park.

We fed the ducks

And had a picnic

Back at their house, I played in the pantry.

And brushed my teeth in the kitchen. Oh the little things I get away with when I stay with Grandma and Grandpa!

Later that evening, they all met up with more friends, Kate and Anthony, for dinner and drinks.

'Twas Sunday afternoon and time to say goodbye to two of my most favorite people in the world. But not before one last photo shoot. Thanks to Jennie and Emily for cooperating! :)

I am so happy Mommy had a happy and wonderful birthday weekend! Hugs and kisses to everyone who helped make it so special!

Little Fashionista

I am becoming quite the independent girl. I definitely know what I want and am getting very good at expressing my wants and needs. On several occasions lately, I've picked out my own clothes. I must say I am pretty good at coordinating. Mommy says I'm a little fashionista and she and Daddy are in trouble!

Today I picked out my sparkly red shoes. I had to wear these shoes. I then pulled a dress off the hanger that had red it in. When Mommy held me up to my bows, what color did I pick? Red! Mommy threw the coat and jeans into the mix since it was a cool morning.

You can see my tennis shoes behind me in the picture below. Mommy tried to put these shoes on me last minute so I would be more comfortable. The pink tennies certainly did not match! I couldn't believe Mommy would even suggest such a thing. So, the red shoes it was.

Giving Daddy some love.

Noah's Birthday Party weekend

My cousin, Noah, is one year old! Mommy, Daddy, Bubba and I went up to Cleveland to celebrate with him for the weekend and had so much fun! The weather was beautiful on Saturday so we did a little shopping for some new shoes and played outside. Sunday was the big party day. The theme was baseball so Mommy and Daddy bought me the cutest outfit to wear!

Noah and I looking cute in our Indians attire.

Playing with Lindsay.

I found a little boy who I really enjoyed playing ball with. He was making me laugh the entire time!

Playing with some of Noah's toys.
Noah loved his baseball cake!

I passed on the cake and had ice cream for the first time. It was cold, but yummy!

Happy Birthday, again, Noah!!!

Playdate with Ella

I had a playdate with a new friend, Ella. Ella's mommy and my daddy went to college together and still keep in touch. Lucky for me because Ella was a real sweetheart and we are going to play again really soon!

Miss you Kye Kye

Kye Kye, I miss you already. Thanks for visiting! Mommy says we're coming to see you and Ben soon. I can't wait!

Big 'sponsibilities

I have big 'sponsibilities around the house. I pick up my toys, I throw things in the trash can ("things" including trash and, every once in a while, items that aren't considered trash, such as cell phones, unopened mail, silverware, etc.) and most importantly, I take the dog out to potty.

Apparently, Mommy thinks I am very trustworthy.

For the LOVE of...the outdoors

I LOVE this weather. On nice days, my agenda consists of eating, napping and playing outside!

This includes swinging, of course...

....and playing in my new sand and water table (though just the sand portion).
