Spikes

Chase has naturally spiky hair on the top towards the back. (It WILL NOT lay down!) I spiked it just a little more in the front during his bath. I just realized the irony of his spiky hair with the Stegosaurus on his sleeper. :)

Addison's first haircut - runway walk

Sorry it's so dark - I think the video on the camera is going out.

Addison's first haircut

Addison had her first haircut today! We took her to a cute little girl's spa for the big event. She was a very good girl and sat still the whole time. Just last weekend, she accompanied her cousin, Noah, to his hair cut. Noah was given a sucker to distract him and because Addison has the memory of an elephant, I knew that she would be asking for one during her haircut, too. So we brought one with us. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, Addison asked, "Where is my sucker?" Good thing we were thinking!

Bonjour!

Addison is very proud of the french braids that she's been sporting all day and wanted you to take a peek!

Taking "cheese" to the extreme!

Yup, that's our Christmas tree Addison is looking at. No, no, these were just taken today...not last year. What? Christmas is still a month and a half away?? Yes, yes I know. But our family pictures are this weekend and we had the manpower last weekend to help get it up. We have a rather large 12 foot tree that is not easy putting up with just 2 people. Trust me, we did it last year. Not. Fun. It's nice to have it up, actually. Don't worry, we aren't illuminating the neighborhood with it. Yet. :)
Au revoir!

We love piggies

I can now pretty much fit all my hair into 2 low pig tails. I still use barrettes to hold the flyaways back, especially when we're playing outside.

Do you love piggies as much as I do??

Welllllllllllll, do you?

Bows and Molars

I have a slight obsession with my bows and hairbands. As soon as Mommy gets me up in the mornings, I point to my closet and say "bow". This morning Mommy let me pick out which one I wanted to wear. This is it. My Aunt Kye Kye gave it to me! It only stayed on for a few minutes, but it was fun while it lasted.

So, I'm teething my molars (and a third front bottom tooth). None of my other teeth bothered me coming in, but these molars are KILLERS! (At least this is what Mommy thinks is causing my whining, neediness and early waking from naps. Oh dear!) Because Mommy feels so sorry for me, she's been spoiling me lately, giving me whatever I want (almost). This morning, I wanted some of her chocolate chips. She can't resist when I sign and say "more" (or "mo" in Addisonese), so she just kept giving them to me. Thanks, Mommy!

More, Mommy?
What molars? Can't feel a thing...I'm on a sugar high!

Ponytails

We've started to experiment with ponytails and still have the following kinks to work out:
1) I don't have 2 matching bows. Will be purchasing soon.
2) My hair is longer on my left side than my right. This makes for uneven ponytails.
3) Mommy can't make a part down the middle. Come to think of it, maybe this is contributing to the unevenness.
4) I like to pull the bows out of my hair and along with them come the elastics that Mommy spends so long getting in my hair. I guess we could use elastics with no bows. This would take care of problem #1, as well.
5) I have more hair than Mommy and she finds this to be very unfair!
