Lolli-pops

We hit up the first of the Lolli-Pops Summer Children Concert Series again this year, since we had so much fun last year. This time, we went with a few people from my Mom's club which was especially nice for Addison because she had some friends to dance with and for me so I would have an extra set or two of hands to help out with both kids.

After a good deal of time up on the stairs of the stage (they weren't letting the kiddos on the stage this time which was probably a safe idea), Addison decided to head back to where her friend, Raegan, was and danced the the morning away.

This little guy slept through most of the concert and was all smiles when he woke up. He enjoyed the music, too!

Music and Art

Addison started a new music and art class last weekend. We signed her up for Saturday mornings to give Dustin an opportunity to attend a class with her. We also thought it would be a good time for them to get out of the house while I got some things done to prepare for Chase's arrival. (Turns out all I can really do while they are gone is lay around!)

My mom has been here the last two weekends helping out and has had the opportunity to go to the first two classes with them. They took the camera with them this week so I could see what they do.

The class is held in a preschool classroom so while they wait for everyone to arrive, the kids are allowed to play with some of the toys. Both times, Addison has gone straight for the babies. No surprise there!

The activities this week included playing with water balloons, which Addison ended up popping, thus drenching her clothes!

They also painted with watercolors. Addison loves to paint! She and her Grandma F. just made a huge mural the other day. It hangs in her play room with all the other masterpieces she is most proud of.

My mom thinks that she looks like a typical preschooler in this picture. I just can't believe my baby is getting so big. I've tracked down a couple of preschool programs in the area that take children under 3, so she will probably be starting that in the fall. I planned to attend open houses this month as registration begins in February (and I've heard the best ones go quickly). DOH! Another great plan that bed rest has foiled!
Music time....Addison's favorite!

Bells (her favorite part is putting things away)
High five for her teacher, Miss Pat.
When they got home, Addison came running down to where I was laying to show me her artwork!

Music Class

We attend music class every Friday morning. We've been doing this since Addison was 6 months old and it's always been one of the highlights of our week. The entire 15 minute drive there is spent singing in preparation for class. As soon as the car goes into park, Addison chants "Music class! Music class!" We walk up the stairs of the preschool where class is held and she runs into the room, waves and smiles at the other children, and sits down.

She loves the 30 minutes we spend singing and playing with different instruments more than I ever would have imagined. I get so much satisfaction from seeing how much enjoyment she gets from the class.

Dustin had the day off Friday and was able to come see for himself just how much she loves the class. Addison was so proud to have him on "her turf"!

The very, very best part of class is the end when Addison gets her "la la stamps". She shows everyone, strangers included, her stamps the whole rest of the day. She points to her hand and says "la la". She also gets stamps at Gym class and calls those "la la stamps", too!

Snapping and telling Bubba "down"

I was being a goofball the other day while Mommy was unloading groceries from the car. I put on my "hat" (helmet) and played the radio on my Barbie Jeep, dancing around and snapping my fingers. Watch me snap and listen for when I tell Bubba "down" after he jumps up on me!

Music Class

On Thursdays, I take Music Class at WeJoySing. That's supposed to sound like "rejoicing" when said all together. Cute, huh?!? I love Music Class and my teacher, Mrs. Andrea. My favorite part of Music Class is the big drum. All us kids circle around it and play on it. Sometimes Mrs. Andrea sings to us while playing her guitar. She has a nice voice and I like to watch her. I pretty much just want to sit up close to Mrs. Andrea the whole class, just like in these pictures.
