Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday

We traveled down to Dayton for a couple of days this Memorial Day weekend to stay with Gammy and Poppy. Aunt Julie, Uncle Josh, and Noah were also going to be down there and we all wanted to celebrate Gammy's birthday, which was on the 25th.
We left bright and early around 7 Saturday morning to get down there. When we got there, Noah had some practice holding a baby to prepare for his sister's upcoming arrival.
Addie and Noah headed out to the sprinkler while Chase took his morning nap.

Gammy bought them a little pool and they had a great time!

I love this picture. Addie is such a good sport while letting Noah squirt her!
She is so beautiful!
That afternoon, we took Addie and Noah to the The Greene for some ice cream while Dustin and Josh stayed back because Chase was taking a really long nap and we didn't want to wake him.
She is an ice cream lover, that is for sure!

Noah finished his cone and Addison wasn't even halfway done with hers. Savoring every lick, I guess!
After ice cream, we headed over to the fountains so they could play in the water. I forgot to mention that it was a sweltering hot 89 degrees!
Addison and Aunt Lori
The sleepy boy finally woke up and joined us!

Memorial Day Weekend - Sunday Part I

On Sunday morning, we headed over to Carillon Park for the Heritage Festival, hoping we could get in a couple hours of fun. We weren't to be disappointed!
First stop was the face painting station. Addie chose a mustache. She saw an example picture of one and told Aunt Julie that's what she wanted. Aunt Julie checked with me to make sure it was okay and of course I said yes. She is a funny little girl with lots of surprises up her sleeves!

Admiring the art on her face.

Next up, bounce house...a favorite.

They made star necklaces next.
Chase slept for a bit in the carrier. It was so incredibly hot so Dustin stayed in the shade, but I'm sure he was sweating bullets in there!

He eventually woke up and wanted the heck out of that thing, so Aunt Julie took over.
Gammy, Addie and Noah took a train ride.

Aunt Julie, Uncle Josh and baby girl in her belly.
After the train ride, we had a picnic lunch before heading home for naps. The mustache accidentally came off when I wiped the peanut butter and jelly off her face. :)

Memorial Day Wekend - Sunday Part II

Sunday afternoon, we went to my cousin Maren's graduation party at a park. Addie really enjoyed playing on the playground with her cousins. And boy does she get RED when she runs around (It's not sunburn, trust me. I put so much sunscreen on her fair skin that she look like I've coated her with white paint)! I was the same way when I was little.
This was Chase's introduction to the Nevius (Gammy's side) family. It was fun showing him off to everyone. Of course his Godmother did a lot of that for us - she LOVES him soooo much! I got the question "What do you feed him???" a lot. :)
These 3 are something else. Can't wait for the 4th to arrive and even out the boy/girl ratio!

An attempt at a decent picture for Gammy and Poppy with the grandkids.
"Ewwwww, who cut the cheese???"

Memorial Day Weekend - Monday

Memorial Day started off spending some time with the other side of our family - Dustin's side. We had everyone over to our house for a fish fry and to celebrate Grandma's birthday, again...much to Addison's delight!

Eyeing the icing on Aaron's cupcake.

Checking her surroundings to see if anyone is watching her.
Going in for the kill.
Victory!
Next up, his ice cream!
After naps, we took the kids to the pool for the first time this season (and Chase's first time, ever!)
His first "taste" of the water.
And in a little bit further.

One Fish, Two Fish.
