4 months old

I figure it's about time I start posting more on Addison's blog! It needs a lot of work, but I'll get there...eventually.

Addison is 4 months old. I can't believe it. 1/3 of her first year has passed. Before I know it, she won't be a baby anymore. Well, I guess that's not true. She'll always be my baby. I don't like the fact that time is flying, but I am happy to say that I am treasuring each moment with her. I wouldn't have been able to say that a year ago. My situation has taught me to appreciate every day. I used to wish the days away, waiting for the next big event. Engagement - check. Wedding - check. Vacation - check. Birthdays - check. Ready to start a family - check. I couldn't tell you much about the days in between. Sure there were fun moments, but those were moments that I definitely took for granted. These days I try find value in even the most seemingly insignificant moments. As much as I can't wait to see Addison accomplish the next milestone, I've also learned to really slow down and appreciate those instances that won't necessarily be documented in her memory book. Being the mover I was (OK, so I'm still type A - that will never change), I never thought I could enjoy staring at one sedentary thing for hours on end. Today, I am so grateful for the opportunity to do so!

We are so proud of our darling little girl. Each day brings with it something exciting. Whether it's more consistent cooing or bigger smiles or even simply taking an ounce more in her bottle, I can't wait to wake up and experience each new day with her. Not to brag, but she is quite the angel. Wait, why can't I brag? This is her blog and I'm her mommy...I would be weird if I didn't! :)

Mom is always looking for an occasion to do a photo shoot....

So she put me in a pretty dress and...

I tried to pull it up to show my undie pants!

Then I redeemed myself by showing her what a proper little lady I really was.

I've spent the last few days trying to upload a very fun video to add to this post with no success. I am giving up on that (for the time being). So frustrated! Oh well...stay tuned...you won't want to miss it!

Wow!! You've been working hard on this. Don't worry about the video...I haven't been able to get it to work either. From what I understand it is really easy if you have an Apple; otherwise, not so much. These 4 month pictures are fabulous. They remind me of the signs my mom used to make for our baby books!
